Total Raised for the Gemma Potts Community: £1,000+
On September 8th, Brad Close will be taking on the challenge of running the world’s biggest and most iconic half marathon, the Great North Run. He’s chosen to support not one but two causes in his endeavour, the Gemma Potts Community and the British Heart Foundation.
Brad reached out to Gemma and her family a few weeks ago to ask if he could run on behalf of the Gemma Potts Community. He had signed up to the Great North Run via the British Heart Foundation and exceeded his fundraising target of £300, but with the race still weeks away, he knew there was still time to make a greater impact. Gemma’s story has resonated deeply with him over the last couple years and he felt like this was the perfect opportunity to help support her journey and raise awareness. He has chosen to dedicate the first half of this 13.1 mile race to the British Heart Foundation and he will then change into his Gemma Potts Community t-shirt for the remainder of the run. We wish him the best of luck for this challenge and hope he has a fantastic time at the Great North Run.
We’d like to take the opportunity to thank Brad, his family and his friends for their support and generous donations. Every single donation brings Gemma closer to her goal of attending STEPS rehabilitation centre.
