DESCRIPTION:Total Raised for the Gemma Potts Community: £1\,000+  \n\nOn September 8th\, Brad Close will be taking on the challenge of running the world’s biggest and most iconic half marathon\, the Great North Run. He’s chosen to support not one but two causes in his endeavour\, the Gemma Potts Community and the British Heart Foundation.\n\n\n\nBrad reached out to Gemma and her family a few weeks ago to ask if he could run on behalf of the Gemma Potts Community. He had signed up to the Great North Run via the British Heart Foundation and exceeded his fundraising target of £300\, but with the race still weeks away\, he knew there was still time to make a greater impact. Gemma’s story has resonated deeply with him over the last couple years and he felt like this was the perfect opportunity to help support her journey and raise awareness. He has chosen to dedicate the first half of this 13.1 mile race to the British Heart Foundation and he will then change into his Gemma Potts Community t-shirt for the remainder of the run. We wish him the best of luck for this challenge and hope he has a fantastic time at the Great North Run.\n\nWe’d like to take the opportunity to thank Brad\, his family and his friends for their support and generous donations. Every single donation brings Gemma closer to her goal of attending STEPS rehabilitation centre.

DESCRIPTION:Total Raised for the Gemma Potts Community: £380 💜 \nOn Saturday\, 8th June\, (10am-12pm) the Blackhill and Shotley Bridge Uniting Methodist Church will be hosting a charity coffee morning for the Gemma Potts Community at Blackhill Community Centre. \nEvery second Saturday of the month\, community charity coffee mornings are held at the Blackhill Community Centre (10am-12pm) to support local and national charities. Val Pears\, who taught Gemma at Burnhope Primary School\, reached out to dedicate one of these mornings to Gemma’s cause. The news of Gemma’s injury deeply affected Val\, and she was determined to help. \nWe are incredibly grateful to Val Pears\, the volunteer team\, and the local community for their kindness and support.

They are skydiving on June 2nd to raise £1\,000 for Gemma. The funds will go towards crucial equipment and ongoing physiotherapy. \nDonna and Betina are self-funding their skydive\, so every penny raised will directly benefit Gemma.

DESCRIPTION:Total Raised for the Gemma Potts Community: £4\,941 \nCoast to Coast\nMark Robson will be walking across the north of England\, starting at Siddick on the west coast and finishing at Tynemouth on the east coast. The total distance will be 101 miles. The challenge will be to do it in 48 hours but anything under 60 hours will be a test. \nPlease help Mark in his target to raise £10\,000\nhttps://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/mark-robson-101 \nMark Robson works and runs an agricultural merchants in Wolsingham Weardale\, a regular face in their shop was Gemma Potts who worked at a local equestrian yard. \nThe money Mark raises will go towards Gemma receiving intense physio at STEPS\, rehabilitation centre and towards the equipment needed to help Gemma at home.
